28 Jun Extend your soft furnishings into your garden, bringing brightness even on dull days
You may have some beautiful soft furnishings inside your home, but what about extending this outside, in to your garden?
Now what if there was a way to imagine you are on a sun kissed island relaxing by the pool with a cocktail in your hand, in the comfort of your own garden?
Well now you can. How about adding some brightly coloured fabrics in to your space to really add that pop of colour in to the garden.
After what felt like a very long winter and spring, the sun has at last made an appearance and we can finally get out in the garden and enjoy the sunshine, however, maybe your outdoor furniture has seen better days and needs replacing or refreshing.
How would you like to make your garden in to a showstopper by adding some colour and really jazzing it up? How can you also tick the sustainable box?
By adding some cushions to your outdoor furniture or recovering your existing cushions, you can use these, year after year. This is a sustainable option as you are breathing new life in to existing furniture that you otherwise may have been thinking of replacing. Another way to bring colour in to your garden meaning that you don’t need to keep buying new plants every year for your containers.
You will find a wide range of fabrics on the market for this purpose but I really like the designs and colours in the NEW Beachclub range from Warwick Fabrics, which include a geometric, an ikat design (heavily patterned), a stripe and a plain.
Colours range from zesty Lime to sun drenched Sunshine yellow and from Tangerine Orange to Azure Blue.
These fabrics all benefit from WeatherGuard protection which is water repellent, stain resistant and has an anti-bacterial finish so perfect for outdoors.
They will make great chair seat pads for dining chairs, box cushions for sofas or loungers etc and would make great scatter cushions to add pops of colour to your furniture.
Are you working from home and need to get outside for a break? Or is it the end of a long day and you are ready to relax in your garden with a cup of tea or a tipple? Having an inviting seating area with brightly coloured soft furnishings can really lift your mood and help to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Feel free to get in touch if you would like help to make the most of your garden this summer.
